360applied - Personal Protective Equipment Program

Workplace hazards are common occurrences that can lead to costly injuries and illnesses. Selecting the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) and workwear is crucial in mitigating these risks and significantly reducing business expenses. Hazards such as mechanical, biological, chemical, heat, cold and abrasive surfaces are encountered in various workplaces. If these hazards cannot be eliminated, choosing the appropriate PPE can greatly minimise the risk of injury, ensuring the safe completion of tasks.

As a leading designer and manufacturer of PPE and workwear, we are dedicated to providing innovative products and services across various industries in Australia. Our goal is to ensure wearer safety through the correct utilisation of PPE, tailored to specific job requirements. Through the 360applied® PPE Program, we offer customised PPE solutions for businesses, ensuring optimal protection for employees during their tasks.

Private Brands 360applied service was designed with the wearer and their task at the center, engineered to ensure nothing takes away or distracts from the requirement of the user being able to do their job, safely. With this in mind a program was designed to assess situations and highlight inadequate or incorrect selection of PPE on sites. Workplace health and safety advisors have a perogative to keep employees and contractors safe onsite and with an array of risks assessments in conjunction with the heirarchy of controls their capacity to stay up to date with and across PPE standards and products is unachievable. The key component of 360applied is working with the WHS and procurement officers to both ensure correct selection and increase compliance and productivity.

A visit to site by 360applied showcases the range through a simple but effective presentation that not only outlines these advantages but culminates in a cut demonstration, where required, to simulate real life and compares the performance to the products that are currently being used on site. The program covers several key areas:

  • Standards & Certification Presentation
  • Complete Site Audit
  • Product Recommendations & Trials
  • Training, Implementation & Change Management
  • Regular Program Reviews

360processed - Personal Protective Equipment Processed to End-of-Life

Consumption of Personal Protective Equipment, not only in Australia but globally, is a substantial contributor to our ongoing waste problem. Spanning from excessive water use to produce cotton through to disposal of hand protection products, leaving a detrimental impact on our environment. The issue is ever-growing and our 360processed Program is a genuine commitment to work with distributors in reducing our environmental impact as an industry and make a sustainable change in the way we dispose of PPE.

By partnering with Upparel on this program we have devised solutions for our PPE categories to be recycled by waste stream and be reused in additional products; removing them from landfill. Our reporting ensures complete transparency and traceability, with a carbon footprint amount communicated at end of quarter to all businesses involved. Sensitive items like uniforms with branding are securely destroyed in a 24/7 live-streamed facility providing peace of mind.

Depending on business size and PPE consumption rate your collection method can be vastly varied, from a simple carton up to a complete skip bin. These collection methods will be monitored onsite by your allocated 360processed company representative.

For any bulk or one-off returns there is a set per kilo rate of return, covering the sorting, destruction and recycling of products. The 360processed service has been created as a value add for customers to aid in closing the loop on our product range and recycling them back into their raw materials or upcycling them into new products.

The 360processed program is designed to make the disposal and recycling of personal protective equipment quick and simple. Deisgned as a simple 5 step program to minimise a business carbon emission and have a positive impact on the environment in which they operate.

  • Register - Complete your registration with 360processed. During the process we will forecast usages based on your PPE consumption, determine the rate of return and provide a clear cost analysis.
  • Collect - Your collection method will be determined by your PPE consumption and can be anything from a single carton onsite up to a skip bin.
  • Transport - Your transport to our partner facility in Melbourne will be arranged once your collection is full.
  • Recycle - Once received in our facility your waste will be sorted by stream and processed accordingly.
  • Reporting - You will receive quarterly reports on your initiatives complete with carbon footprint saving.

Waste streams must be collected separately onsite to ensure smooth processing at our facility and each collection method will be signed with appropriate stream. We acknowledge that not every site may be using all our brands, and we will work with you to ensure these products can also be recycled through the program.

There are numerous outcomes for the products which get recycled with Upparel, the simplistic form is they get resourced back into their original forms all the way through to being upcycled into the Uptex material and reused in construction applications nationally. Most importantly all products which enter the Upparel sorting facility remain in Australia and are not shipped elsewhere exacerbating their carbon footprint.
